Some see results within the first few weeks! But generally speaking, it takes about 100 days to get clear. This is due to the fact that any existing acne takes up to 90 days to come to the surface. What you start doing today, will prevent the next wave of acne from forming in the future.
-
Each KLEAR KIT includes all the products and educational materials you need to get started. The education included is essential to your success.
To help you stay on track, we include a calendar with stickers to mark your progress. We encourage you to commit to the full 100-day period, as this is when most people start to see a significant transformation.
The products in the kit work together to heal, treat, nourish, hydrate, and protect your skin.
Once you've finished your initial kit and your skin is healthy, you can purchase products individually to maintain your results.
When your skin is consistently clear and balanced, you'll enter the maintenance phase. At this point, you can be more flexible, while still following our general guidelines.
Some people choose to continue with the full routine, while others find that a modified version works well.
-
If you follow directions as written, your KLEAR KIT should last about 3-4 months. After that, you will order products individually, as needed.
We are extremely thoughtful in choosing our bottles. We focus on the packaging just as much as the formulas inside.
We want to ensure you don’t overuse/underuse product. This is part of why we chose airless pump dispensers over jars. This allows us to educate on how many pumps to generally use for total success.
Clear bottles ensure you can see the exact amount of product remaining. This way, you can always re-order as needed, before you run out.
-
All of our products are free of dyes, parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, irritating oils and comedogenic fragrance.
For our Quick Fix Spot Treatment, we use a minimal amount (less than 1%) of non-comedogenic fragrance to mask/neutralize the sulfur scent and ensure a pleasant experience.
-
All of our products are pregnancy safe and formulated without dyes, parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, irritating oils, retinol and *fragrance.
*Our Quick Fix Spot Treatment is the only product that contains less than 1% fragrance to mask the unpleasant smell of sulfur.
A Note on Benzoyl Peroxide and Pregnancy:
There have been questions about the safety of benzoyl peroxide which is a key ingredient in our Medicated Skin Polish and our Overnight Therapy products (available in 2.8%, 5%, and 10% concentrations).
Many leading medical organizations, including the NHS and the Mayo Clinic, consider topical benzoyl peroxide to be a safe and effective option for treating acne during pregnancy. This is based on the following:
Minimal Absorption: When applied to the skin, a very small amount of benzoyl peroxide is absorbed into the bloodstream.
Rapid Metabolism: The tiny amount that is absorbed is quickly broken down into a harmless substance (benzoic acid) and then safely excreted from the body.
Low Risk: Due to this minimal systemic absorption, the amount of benzoyl peroxide that could potentially reach a developing fetus is considered negligible and not expected to cause any issues.
We always advise consulting with your primary care provider or OBGYN.
If you choose to avoid benzoyl peroxide, our Perfecting Serum is an excellent alternative to Overnight Therapy while breastfeeding or pregnant.
Disclaimer: This information is for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider for personalized guidance regarding your health and skincare routine during pregnancy.

Benzoyl peroxide is an organic compound that has been safely used since the early 1900s. It was initially used to treat burns. In 1970, Dr. Harvey Blank established a skin research center at the University of Miami. Meanwhile, Dr. James Fulton completed medical school at Tulane University, finished his dermatology residency at University of Pennsylvania, obtained a Ph.D. in biochemistry and then joined Dr. Blank. Together, they began experimenting with benzoyl peroxide for the treatment of acne.
They discovered a few breakthroughs that still hold true today:
Benzoyl peroxide causes deep peeling inside the pore to loosen impactions and stop the pores from sludging up with dead skin cells - making it successful at treating non-inflamed acne.
Benzoyl peroxide kills bacteria. The benzoyl part of the molecule pulls the peroxide deep down into the pore. Bacteria can’t live and thrive in the presence of oxygen. So as oxygen floods into the pore, it kills and suffocates the bacteria. Making it the most successful at treating inflamed acne as well.
When Benzoyl peroxide is suspended in a water-based gel (like ours!) it penetrates much better into the pores vs an oily base. Many benzoyl peroxide products on the market use oily bases which cancel its effectiveness.
Building up your tolerance slowly is important. That’s why we start everyone on Overnight Therapy 2.8%. As your skin adapts, you may gradually increase your levels to Overnight Therapy 5% or Overnight Therapy 10% (based on age, sex, skin type and climate). Regardless, slight peeling and dryness at the beginning is normal for everyone and means it’s working! Skin will balance out in just a few weeks. If you’re feeling extra dry, don’t apply Overnight Therapy for 1-3 days and use hydration instead. Then get back on track. You can also layer a water-based gel (like our Cooling Hydra Gel) under your Overnight Therapy to relieve dryness, as needed.
TIP: Don’t use traditional oily-based moisturizers under or over Overnight Therapy as it can interfere with the efficacy.
NOTE:
*Having an allergic reaction to Benzoyl peroxide is extremely rare. Less than 1% of the population is truly allergic to benzoyl peroxide. You can always patch test by applying a dime size amount on inner forearm and covering with a bandaid for 3 nights to be sure. If no major reaction, it is likely there is no allergy.
*In the rare case that you can’t tolerate benzoyl peroxide, some clients use Perfecting Serum at night instead with great success. Some gradually work their way up to perfecting serum AM + PM if needed.

Benzoyl peroxide (BPO) absolutely does NOT cause premature aging. Decades of research confirm its effectiveness in eliminating acne and preventing breakouts - all without affecting collagen or elastin. It remains the single best ingredient to fight acne when used correctly and formulated properly.
How it works:
Deep Pore Cleansing: BPO loosens pore blockages and prevents dead skin buildup, tackling non-inflamed acne.
Bacteria Killer: BPO delivers oxygen deep into pores, suffocating acne-causing bacteria and treating inflamed acne.
Our Formulation Advantage:
We use a water-based gel for optimal penetration, unlike oily-based products that hinder effectiveness.
Our gradual, low and slow approach includes starting with Overnight Therapy 2.8% and for some, gradually working up to 5% or 10%. This allows skin to adapt and minimize dryness.
Our Cooling Hydra Gel can be layered underneath Overnight Therapy for extra hydration
Important Usage:
Apply BPO nightly as a preventative, not a spot treatment, to your entire face from hairline to jawline (avoiding the eye and neck area).
Consistent use is key, as acne takes up to 90 days to form.
Safety Notes:
True BPO allergies are rare (less than 1%). Patch testing is recommended.
For those with extreme sensitivity, our Perfecting Serum is a suitable alternative.

In regards to the recent news about benzoyl peroxide safety, the FDA has made a statement indicating that benzoyl peroxide is safe to use and we all can continue to do so as we have been.
Statement by the Personal Care Products Council on Valisure Petition on Benzoyl Peroxide in OTC Personal Care Products
WASHINGTON – “Over-the-counter (OTC) drug products such as anti-acne treatments are highly regulated by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), which has reviewed and determined benzoyl peroxide is a safe and effective anti-acne ingredient. Consumers have safely used anti-acne products for decades.
“Personal care products companies do not add benzene to any OTC personal care product. The findings in the most recent Valisure petition are based on unproven, questionable methods applying unrealistic conditions which are inconsistent with the way the product would be stored normally. In a December 2022 letter, the FDA highlighted multiple deficiencies in Valisure’s analytical methods, stating that the lab should follow the same testing methods that drug manufacturers are required to use.”
We strongly value safety with all of our products. Benzoyl peroxide should be stored properly in cool areas and out of areas of direct sunlight.
The Valisure petition and statements are under question given their flawed analytics of testing BPO under excess storage conditions at high temperatures for prolonged periods of time which does not replicate consumer conditions of usual and normal use. Additionally there may be a potential conflict of interest in the information presented by Valisure given a pending patent on a similar ingredient/ All of which is being investigated.
We will keep you posted with updates.

While we have many cases of people who reach total clearing without ever getting a facial, a proper facial can help speed up the process when done correctly.
NOTE: Many facials can do more harm than good, so it’s important to do research before.
Should you choose to get a facial (it is by no means mandatory), we suggest bringing KLEAR products with you for use during treatment. Hopefully, the esthetician or practitioner will respect your devotion and commitment to the KLEAR program.
Gentle etractions performed by a credible and certified esthetician every 3-4 weeks can be done until you’ve reached total clearing.
Effective and safe additions include: Mandelic acid, lactic acid and TCA chemical peels, LED blue + red light therapy, high frequency, oxygen, regular cryotherapy or cryotherapy facials with liquid or vaporized nitrogen.
Once clear, microchanelling or microneedling is a great addition to help improve texture and scarring.
Be sure to AVOID: Microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, hydra facials and gua sha.
Once clear, you can figure out a treatment and maintenance schedule that’s best for you.

We choose pumps over jars because they are the most sanitary option. They keep the products fresh and protected from bacterial contamination and oxidation.
Why we don’t use jars in our KLEAR KITS: With jars, we can’t direct on proper dosage like we can with pumps. Jars are also the least sanitary option and can be a breeding ground for bacteria. Dipping your hand into a jar daily increases the risk of bacterial growth that you could transfer to your skin. This could result in rashes, infections and acne.
Even if you wash your hands, germs can be hidden under nails and if they get into your product, germs can multiply. When you forget to wash hands or double-dip, contamination can occur.

The majority of our clients achieve clear skin without needing any lab testing. By the six month mark, most clients are clear and transition into the maintenance phase.
Some clients prefer to explore deeper testing earlier, while others choose to wait. Both approaches are valid.
If after six months you’re still experiencing persistent cystic or hormonal acne, we recommend considering hormone panel testing and/or allergy testing to help identify underlying contributors.
If you are local in AZ, we can refer you to our board member and functional health practitioner.
